"Tanks for Staying"

The Fairfield Inn Capital Beltway and PMHS would like to introduce our "'Tanks for Staying” program. It was inspired by the knowledge that the added costs for a summer vacation are estimated to have increased $50 for the average family. With such high costs at the pump along with rising food prices, we believe our guests deserve immediate help for their family’s summer vacation.

"Tanks for Staying" offers overnight accommodations for up to two adults (each additional is $10) and children under the age of 18, a $50 gas card. Packages require a 2-night minimum stay and are based on availability. Guests must book stay three days prior to arrival.

How It Works
When travelers arrive at any of these award winning destinations and register, they receive a gas card that has a $50 credit balance awaiting their use. For travelers arriving from a distance of more than 100 miles and up to 500, the stay can be as short as two days to qualify. Realizing some people will be traveling longer distances, the credit for travelers arriving from a distance of more than 500 miles and who stays for five or more nights is doubled to $100 via the same credit card offer.

Participating hotels include:
Hilton Properties Embassy Suites Hotel Dulles North, 703-723-5300, Ashburn, VA Homewood Suites Hotel Dulles North, 703-723-7500, Dulles, VA Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel, 410-694-0808, Linthicum, MD Embassy Suites Hotel Newark/Wilmington South, 302-368-8000, Newark, DE Homewood Suites Newark/Wilmington South, 302-453-9700, Newark, DE Sheraton Sheraton Hotel Meadowlands, 201-896-0500, East Rutherford, NJ Marriott Fairfield Inn Capital Beltway/I-95 North, 301-572-7100, Beltsville, MD Choice Properties Comfort Suites Manassas, 703-686-1100, Manassas, VA Comfort Inn Gunston Corner, 703-643-3100, Lorton, VA

Breakfast Room

The breakfast room facelift has been completed. Wow! Is it nice?

Almost everything you see in the photo is new to include the lighting, the vinyl and the beautiful wood cabinetry. There is enough space to allow us to set a waffle station at the end of the counter and remove the standard table that was in the room to serve as a station in the past. We're thrilled!

Guest Comment- Watkins, Alphretta

"I came to the hotel with my husband while he was on a business trip. I didn't want to go with him at first because we weren't going to be downtown. I feel so blessed that I decided to go. The staff at the hotel, particularly at the front desk was so friendly and warm. They made me feel as if I lived there. Each day I would read in the lobby and they would come over to me and offer me something. It started with homemade chocolate cookies and kept going from there. By day two, they were serving me my Plantation Mint tea! One afternoon I even got a call in my room telling me that they had hors dóeuvres in the lobby and I was welcome to come down and enjoy them! I have travelled with my husband frequently, but never have I felt so much like I belonged. There are some real gems working at the Fairfield Inn. Thank you so much for your hospitality during my stay. If my husband travels to Washington again, I'll be sure to come along!"

Front desk renovation

Our front desk renovation was a success! We have a fresh new look and we're a bit more colorful. There is one missing item, which is our counter top. The white one seen in the photos is temporary. Our "real" one should be here in just one more week from today. In the photos, the top left is the "old" front desk while the other photos are the renovated front desk. It looks even better in person. Why not come see for yourself?

New look

As promised, our new look is on the way. The photos show how the front desk looked earlier this week. By the end of the week, we'll show you another update. It will be our almost-finished product.

What's Monday?

Does anyone know why Monday is a special day? Yes, it's Columbus Day. But it's also the day the front desk and breakfast room get a new look. Pardon our small mess, but we will be reconstructing the front desk and the breakfast counter beginning on Monday morning. We promise not to disturb your sleep, and will still provide you with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. You will find that Lucena and Nortia will be in the lobby to assist with checking you out. Tuesday morning, you'll wake up to see the new and improved look.

Walking/Running Trail

A guest has provided us with a new path that he uses as a walking trail when staying at the hotel. We are attaching it to our blog page. We must point out that though we provide a map for your convenience, we assume no responsibility for injury or damage that may occur while utilizing the route. As with any area, there may be potential hazards. So, as you would in any city, please stay alert!

New Shopping Village

Welcome to the Neighborhood! There is a new shopping village called West Tech Village just two miles from our hotel. The village hosts an IHOP, Five Guys, Jerry's Subs, Moe's Southwest Grill, 7-Eleven, Nail Art and Spa and FedExKinkos. A TGI Friday's is coming before the end of October. If you're looking for a Gold's Gym, it's there too! Feel free to ask the front desk for directions to the new village.

Guest Comment- Michael from Newport News, VA

"We attended a football game at University of Maryland and chose to stay at the Fairfield Inn in Beltsville. We weren't disappointed with our decision. Our stay was comfortable and our room was clean. Best of all the agent at the reception desk told us of a "back way" to get to the stadium. How convenient. We were glad to be out of the College Park scene. Too many people in a small town. Thanks for the directions. We'll see you next season. Go Terps!"

Guest Comment- Carolyn from New Jersey

"We've never experienced such accomodating staff. Though you didn't have a bellman, Allen said that he would be happy to help us with our luggage AND he truly seemed happy to help us. The girl in the breakfast room even remembered that my husband used the low-sugar maple syrup, and brought some to us before we sat down! We'll definitely be back when we attend an event in the Washington, DC area. Thank you Fairfield Inn!"
